Business Performance LoB Lead
Business Performance LoB Lead
Shape the future of performance management at Zurich:
Zurich is on a transformation journey, putting customers first and striving to create a brighter future together. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead a new dimension in how we drive business performance — focusing on line-of-business (LoB) in addition to our strong business unit (BU) insights.
As our new Business Performance LoB Lead, you’ll have a unique opportunity to develop this new perspective from the ground up, set the direction for how performance insights are delivered, and help ensure we support management’s growing focus on LoB performance.
What you will do:
- Shape and Deliver LoB Performance Management & Advanced Actuarial Insights:
Build and implement performance management frameworks for individual lines of business, complementing our existing BU views. You’ll lead deep dives into portfolio performance, claims development, and reserving, transforming complex technical data into clear, actionable business insights. Establish standards and best practices for LoB reporting and insights at Zurich, answering management’s need for deeper, more granular perspectives. - Strategic Partner to Underwriting and Actuarial:
Act as the key PPM business partner to ZNA Underwriting and ZNA Actuarial teams. For Underwriting, you will join the UW Leadership Team meetings, provide regular finance updates, and actively contribute to projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring financial perspectives are integrated into decision-making. - Transform Forecasting & Planning:
Collaborate closely with the broader PPM team to further enhance and transform the ZNA forecasting and planning processes. Bring forward innovative ideas, challenge the status quo, and help drive process automation, data quality, and actionable business insights. - Build a Powerhouse with Actuarial Bratislava:
Leverage the expertise of actuarial resources in Bratislava by building strong, effective partnerships. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment focused on delivering robust performance analysis, business insights, and value to stakeholders.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in business performance management, financial planning, or analysis, ideally in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Solid actuarial background with a very good understanding of insurance P&L and the end-to-end insurance business.
- Strong track record in developing and implementing new frameworks, preferably with a focus on LoB or product-level reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders, especially Underwriting and Actuarial.
- Experience in leading or contributing to forecasting, planning, and performance reporting transformations.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills, including cross-cultural teamwork (experience with near/off-shore teams is a plus).
- Analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach to driving process improvements and business value.
- Advanced skills in financial systems and analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel) a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area

- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree with 7 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
