Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Business Systems Analyst II to serve as a liaison between the Business and Data Management and provide solutions to their business systems needs while understanding customers’ objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document, and implement systems scope and objectives to develop and provides solutions. Specific duties include: coordinate and lead activities with product owners to gather requirements; document detailed functional and non-functional requirements; identify data most valuable to the organization, and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model; manage business rules to enhance and optimize filtering results in the sanctions Application; use requirements management tools and techniques; support development, testing, implementation, and training activities; understand and apply delivery approaches and perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich Project management framework and the Zurich risk policy; and provide subject matter discussions to others in the organization. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Manager - Projects, Senior Test Analyst, Lead Business Analyst position, or similar position analyzing business systems. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: designing and implementing advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets across multiple systems; supporting reporting and analytics initiatives; working with enterprise-level data warehouses to build and optimize data pipelines and ensure high-quality, reliable data sources for stakeholders; partnering with cross-functional teams to define key business metrics, identify performance trends, and develop dashboards and reporting tools; conducting deep-dive analyses to uncover root causes of business performance issues, providing recommendations that improved operational efficiency and revenue outcomes; automating recurring data tasks and reports, reducing manual effort and increasing data accessibility across departments; interpreting data findings into clear, concise visualizations using BI tools Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, and presenting insights to leadership and non-technical stakeholders; and ensuring data accuracy and consistency through validation, documentation, and collaboration with data engineering teams. Must also have 5 years of experience working with each of the following: SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, optimization; Data Warehousing including Yellowbrick, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Teradata, and Oracle; ETL/ELT including data pipelines and transformation logic; Data Analysis and Visualization including using Business Object, Tableau, and Power BI; Requirement Documentation including using IBM RSA for document creation and management; and programming in Python for data analysis and automation. The proposed salary range for this position is $134,508.
