Collection Agency Analyst

Zurich North America is hiring an experienced Finance Operations Associate - Collections/AR/AP to join our Group Captives team in our Schaumburg, IL headquarters!  The successful candidate under guidance, performs one or more basic finance operations tasks including invoicing, collection, cash application, accounts payable, general administration and/or general ledger reconciliation ensuring actions are completed to appropriate service levels or defined procedures.  

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Managing the relationship with our collection agencies
• Balancing between Zurich systems and the collection agency systems
• Collection, Reconciliation, Cash Application and Invoicing:
• Collects and reconciles premiums and non-premiums, invoices or applies cash in order to maximize.
• Collects and minimizes outstanding balances and delinquencies to assigned accounts.
• Provides technical guidance, work direction, and analytical support to the team
• Assigned accounts are typically of low to moderate complexity/exposure.
• Role has authority to cancel policies for non-payment in accordance with pre-defined guidelines and protocol.
• Role also has limited authority to extend credit or to negotiate and settle payment plans.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area
  AND
• Knowledge of insurance industry agreements and loss sensitive programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Proficient with Excel
• Ability to work with large amounts of data

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $58,800.00 - $96,300.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
