Data and Analytics Portfolio Execution Leader

Zurich North America and the Chief Data Office are currently hiring a Data and Analytics Portfolio Execution Leader.  This person will report the Chief Data Officer and can sit in the Schaumburg North America HQ or remotely for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Proactive business relationship management to align demand with information products, coordinates across all business units with the appropriate technical and information support areas 
  • Understands business context and information needs, and frames and helps prioritize all solutions for new and existing information assets/projects/initiatives 
  • Defines, communicates and executes end-to-end information delivery strategy at the division level 
  • Development and delivery of customer centric information solutions segmented to the appropriate party and level of complexity, from scorecards to BI, to multidimensional analysis to datasets (regulatory, analytic, modeling and AI) 
  • Fosters adoption of new, strategic information solutions and decommission of legacy information assets to maintain a healthy, competitive portfolio 
  • Leads a senior group of managers who perform complex tasks in support of business and department objectives, consistent with HR management processes 
  • Supports Data Governance compliance. Communicates Governance processes and adheres to Data Governance guidelines 
  • Responsible to manage delivery budget for new and existing information assets 
  • Alignment to NA and Global strategies to achieve strategic targets 
  • Business travel, and other company policies as required 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Project Management area AND
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, methodologies and techniques of business process reengineering, change management Performance metrics and measures, customer assessment, cost/benefit analysis, benchmarking, process mapping/simulations, data collection, problem identification
  • Experience at multiple levels in insurance industry
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and how those technologies can be used to improve insurance business processes
  • Enterprise-wide program experience
  • Knowledge of organizational design and development
  • 3 or more years of people management and development experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 10 years in information management delivery 
  • Project leadership in increasingly complex environments 
  • Management of delivery, enhancements and break fix teams and functions 
  • Knowledge of IT processes, policies, methods and procedures, including budget management 
  • Executive relationship management/influencing others 
  • Property and Casualty insurance concepts processes and functions 
  • Master’s degree 
  • PMI Certificate 
  • Strong verbal and communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills 
  • Vendor management experience 

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education.  The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $172,000.00 - $281,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
