Direct Markets Sales Operations Analyst/Consultant

The Business Strategy and Sales Operations Team in Direct Markets is seeking a Sales Operations Consultant or Analyst to support our on-going efforts to exceed Direct Markets sales goals while improving the adoption and utilization of the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This is a hybrid role within the U.S, preferably located at either our Schaumburg, IL or Overland Park, KS office. 

 

 As a Sales Operations team member, you will have the opportunity to showcase your project management and relationship management ability, while supporting Direct Market field sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skillset to include soft skills and technical prowess. To succeed in this role you will need to be adept at sales goal formation, modeling and impact analysis, incentive plan evaluation, contest design, as well as, serving as a key administrator for Salesforce CRM within Direct Markets.

 

Key tasks may also include:

  • Leading efforts on Salesforce data management (e.g., Hierarchy Updates, Territory Management, Business Status Changes, New Record Creation)
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing technical training solutions in Salesforce, partnering with the Direct Markets Training and Business Development team
  • Supporting New Business Acquisition and retention efforts
  • Constructing and maintaining user dashboards and reports and clean-up legacy reports, where needed
  • Creating and maintaining the process for Data Quality Control
  • Responding to ad-hoc field inquiries and serve as their point of contact for Salesforce CRM

 

This role will be filled at either the Sales Operations Analyst or Consultant level.  The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 
Sales Operations Analyst:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Sales or Operations area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales or Operations area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area 
  • Project management experience

 

OR


Sales Operations Consultant:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales or Operations area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area
    AND
  • Knowledge in organizational design and development
  • Experience leading organizational change

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships, particularly with market-facing teams
  • Ability to design and develop training programs in multiple media

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. 

The combined salary range for this position is $64,600-$140,000. The proposed salary range for the Analyst is $64,600-$105,900, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%. The proposed salary range for the Consultant is $85,500 - $140,000, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
