Director of Project and Change Management

Zurich North America is seeking a Director of Project and Change Management to join Zurich Resilience Solutions. This role will report into the Zurich Resilience Solutions Director of Compliance and Project Operations.

This is a senior level consultant leading project and change management to support Zurich Resilience Solutions. Leads complex projects, which are often cross-functional and highly visible.  Project responsibilities include creating and executing on the solution delivery project plan, participating in gathering business requirements, process analysis and mapping, designing business solutions, and creating and delivering training and implementation plans. Takes a proactive, holistic approach to business practices and processes; provides methodologies, tools, and measurements to sponsors. Ensures appropriate change management practices are effectively utilized throughout the lifecycle to improve execution and delivery of results. Ensures that specific metrics and measures incorporated into solutions reflect the business strategy, track progress, capture the impact of changes, and identify further opportunities for improvement. Partners across the business to identify, develop, and implement change management strategies; acts as a leader, influencer, and change agent in the implementation of initiatives that support the strategic priorities and transformational projects.  In addition, this position will be responsible for providing portfolio project updates, which will be used by senior leadership to direct resources and influence the ZRS roadmap.
 

The Director of Project and Change Management responsibilities include:
 

  • Acts as a resource on and leads cross-functional initiatives and projects to provide the common change management and implementation view where appropriate 
  • Demonstrates ability to create 'win/win' solutions through leadership, influence, facilitation, and teamwork 
  • Partners across the business on the identification of business improvement opportunities, and acts as a catalyst to accelerate and drive the execution of solutions for Zurich Resilience Solutions transformations
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and institutionalization of best practices around execution and change management 
  • Provides methodologies and tools to support sponsors & teams to drive initiatives to intended results, institutionalize the process, and develop a culture that embraces change 
  • Ensures specific metrics and measures incorporated into solutions reflect the business strategy, track progress, capture the impact of changes, and identify further opportunities for improvement 
  • Interacts with SMEs and key management across the organization, both regionally and globally. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    AND
  • Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management
  • Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools
  • Project management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in establishing new capabilities within a company 
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from entry level to senior leaders 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Strong change management, project management, process management, and communication and training plan development experience
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle 
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations 
  • Experience leading projects from idea to post implementation 
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Influence and negotiating skills

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. 

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $124,500.00 - $203,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
