Zurich North America is currently searching for an Endpoint Engineer to work out of its North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

 

As a member of the End User Technology team supporting Zurich’s End User environment, the Endpoint Engineer will focus on delivery of a consistent product and computing experience to the Zurich North America workforce. The Engineer will focus on designing, building, and implementing endpoint configurations and user applications across both virtual and physical desktop environments. In addition, the Endpoint Engineer will work closely with other End User technicians and engineers in providing Level 3 (tier three) technical support and will serve as an escalation point for core end user endpoint, but will also be tasked at providing guidance, direction, and documentation to the Level 2 (tier two) team.

 

The individual in this position will also be responsible ensuring that all desktops OS and applications are current, reliable, and accessible in accordance with service level agreements. Additionally, the Endpoint Engineer should be able to identify and evaluate desktop OS and application solutions that enhance the security of the end user desktop.

 

The Endpoint Engineer will also:

 

  • Have strong technical skills in Citrix, VDI, and Azure Virtual Desktop, W365 and Intune Endpoint Manager
  • Be responsible for identifying, submitting, testing, and implementing security policies (DevSecOps)
  • Offer excellent 3rd tier support to 2nd tier technicians during issue escalation
  • Debrief business units on business practices such as new applications in newer technologies
  • Be a self-starter in identifying and streamlining business processes
  • Provide SW testing, customization, and deployment of packages as some OS patching will also be required
  • Perform software upgrades, new installs, uninstalls, and configuration changes
  • Ensure compliance with local and global guidelines
  • Work closely with End User Computing Platform team to support implementing policies, procedures, and systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
  • Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area AND
  • MS Office experience
  • Knowledge of information technology operations


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to understand and navigate complex Policies within Intune and Active Directory
  • Engineering experience with Windows 10 and 11
  • Experience with Office 365 (O365)
  • Ability to understand and navigate through complex packages
  • Able to develop and drive initiatives with minimal oversight or guidance
  • Experience in tools like ServiceNow
  • Experience in hardware troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
