Zurich Cover-More is looking for a dynamic Financial Controller to join our team in Schaumburg, IL! In this high-impact role, you’ll lead talented teams across Schaumburg and other Zurich Cover-More locations, driving financial accuracy and integrity on a global scale. You’ll prepare the North American financial results and review the consolidated financial statements for all countries where Zurich Cover-More write local policies, ensuring compliance with IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and various statutory requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across borders, influence key decisions, and occasionally travel to our different locations in North America and overseas as part of your leadership responsibilities.

What’s the job?

  • You’ll coordinate with Zurich business units across the Group who will be preparing and submitting financial results on behalf of Zurich Cover-More.
  • You’ll oversee day to day and close related ledger tasks as well as preparing IFRS, GAAP and statutory financial statements on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • You’ll supervise and lead a team to support the completion of Financial Accounting and Reporting team goals and objectives.
  • You’ll monitor, assess, and evaluate adherence to Group Accounting policies.
  • You’ll manage day-to-day accounting activities or ad hoc tasks, including financial controls, supporting the local (management, GAAP, and statutory) and Group (IFRS) reporting requirements,
  • You’ll coordinate with external auditors in relation to Zurich Cover-More IFRS, US statutory and US GAAP financial statement audit procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • You’ll have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree is beneficial.
  • You’ll be a CPA with 10+ years of Accounting, Audit or Finance experience.
  • You’ll have 8+ years of experience managing a team of 20+.
  • You’ll possess a strong understand of insurance accounting, including IFRS 17.
  • You’ll have experience managing a business with at least $1 billion in annual revenue.

The salary range for this role is $149,500-244,900. This is the range Zurich Cover-More in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
