M365 Automation Manager
Zurich North America is currently hiring a M365 Automation Manager, and this person will work in a hybrid schedule out of our Schaumburg North America HQ. This person will report to the Head of Digital Platform Delivery for IT Infrastructure & Operations.
Leads multi-disciplinary team to deliver Copilot agent solutions across the enterprise. This role is responsible for driving ZNA MSFT AI strategic execution, ensuring technical excellence, and creating measurable value. This manager will champion innovation and collaboration between the technical team and business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear vision/roadmap for Copilot agent architecture and capabilities.
- Prioritize use cases for engineering resources based on defined parameters and strategic alignment.
- Stay ahead of AI trends in the marketplace and guide the team to leverage emerging capabilities.
- Leverage technical expertise to unblock development and support innovation.
- Oversee the design, development and deployment of Copilot agents to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and are of high-quality.
- Resolve technical and operational challenges that arise with deployment.
- Review solution architectures and ensure scalability, reusability and maintainability.
- Track KPIs, financials and metrics to assess Copilot performance and value.
- Define and enforce development standards, security protocols and compliance requirements
- Adhere to frameworks for responsible AI use as outlined in Zurich strategy and be accountable for these principles in engineering designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine solutions using technical expertise to ensure future-forward design principles.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for leadership and/or audit purposes.
- Contribute to executive communications and lead working groups focused on Copilot agents.
- Recruit, mentor and retain top talent with expertise in Copilot engineering and architecture.
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Ensure ongoing learning and development to keep the team apprised of product evolution.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing within the broader ZNA organization.
- Manage resource allocation and capacity with ZNA and ZCC engineering resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area AND
- Experience with IT development and/or maintenance
- Knowledge of IT standards and policy
- People management experience 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio, including orchestration, plugin development, and custom connector integration.
- Deep understanding of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages).
- Strong grasp of Azure services, especially those supporting AI, data, and automation (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
- Experience with M365 extensibility, including Graph API, Adaptive Cards, and Teams integration.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional engineering teams in agile environments.
- Familiarity with governance, security, and compliance within Microsoft cloud ecosystems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
- Experience with DevOps practices and automated testing in Microsoft environments.
- Microsoft certifications are a plus.
At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $143,000.00 to $234,300.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
