Finance Analytics Specialist

Zurich North America is currently seeking an intellectually curious Finance Analytics Specialist to join the Claims Finance team, located at our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

 

The Financial Consultant is responsible for the creation of key financial presentations and models for strategic projects. This role spans across all our diverse business units and lines of business.

 

Additional responsibilities may include:

 

  • Providing advanced financial analysis and modeling.
  • Developing dashboards and reports that provide deeper insights of claim operations and outcomes.
  • Maintaining and improving existing claims dashboards and automating reporting.
  • Creating claim staffing models and forecasting future staffing needs.
  • Driving transparency and understanding of Unallocated Loss Adjustment Expense (ULAE) results and implementing enhancements to the ULAE allocation process when necessary.
  • Supporting the planning and forecasting process through providing ULAE allocation rates and collaborating with business unit leadership to explain changes and impacts.
  • Communicating complex financial information and insights to business partners across multiple functions.
  • Prepare key messages, reports and financial analyses to inform management teams of expected outcomes for specific initiatives.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program, including a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Project management experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience with SQL or related
  • Data visualization experience in PBI or related
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $71,100.00 - $100,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
