Performance Analyst
Zurich’s Excess & Surplus team is seeking a Performance Analyst to serve as a key business partner within the business unit, providing the insight and financial discipline required to support delivery of strategic objectives and financial targets. This Senior Performance Analyst will work with the Excess & Surplus Leadership Team to analyze the financial results, as well as help prepare the financial plan and forecast.
This role will report into the E & S CFO’s team and have the opportunity to manage/analyze the financial results as well as help ensure the entire end-to-end process is working as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Key Accountabilities of the position include:
- Contributing to financial planning, budget, accounting, and providing expense reporting and analysis to E & S leadership
- Scenario modeling and providing recommendations and solutions to enable effective decision making with the aim of maximizing the performance of the business unit.
- Building scenario analyses and communicating impact of plan sensitivities
- Serving as trusted thought partner with Finance/Business unit leadership on strategic projects (e.g., financial target setting, forecast driver trends, expense allocations)
- Developing E & S Executive presentations, and synthesizing performance drivers and trends
- Delivering on BPC reporting requirements
- Conducting competitive analysis to determine trends in the industry and marketplace
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program, including a Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Insurance industry experience
- Strong Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $72,500.00 - $118,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
