Zurich North America is currently hiring a Project Manager, and this person will work in a hybrid schedule out of our North America HQ in Schaumburg, IL. The role engages with stakeholders across Zurich North America leading IT Technology projects within the Application Delivery – Project Execution team.     

 

Responsibilities:
•    Manages multiple small and medium-sized projects, sometimes simultaneously, supporting multiple business units. 
•    Defining project goals, objectives, and deliverables.  Creating a project plan including timelines, resource allocation, monthly status reporting and risk management strategies.  
•    Maintains project records in accordance with ZNA project governance guidelines. 
•    Building and leading a project team, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.  Manage any escalations appropriately. 
•    Identifying project stakeholders and maintaining regular communication with them to manage expectations and address any concerns.  
•    Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses and making necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays withing the allocated budget. 
•    Strongly serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team in their delivery.  Manages strategic go/no-go decisions. 
•    Eliminate roadblocks, resolve issues, and aligns people and the organization in the overall effort.
•    Leads post-implementation review and share findings for continuous improvement.

 

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area OR
•    High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area
•    Project management experience 
•    Experience communicating with all levels of the organization, able to tailor the conversation to the audience.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Scrum / Agile development experience
•    Experience working with project management tools, such as Jira
•    Strong communication skills
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Insurance industry experience 

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. 

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is 113,100-185,100, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
