SAP FS-RI Consultant
Zurich North America is currently hiring a SAP FSRI (Reinsurance) Functional Consultant and this person will work out of our Schaumburg IL North America HQ in a hybrid schedule.
As an SAP FSRI Consultant, you play a key role in helping Zurich and our clients optimize and streamline their reinsurance processes using SAP FSRI (Financial Services Reinsurance). Your expertise ensures smooth system implementation, integration, and ongoing support—helping us manage risk efficiently and deliver value to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Analyze business requirements and design SAP FSRI solutions that align with customer needs and industry best practices.
- Implementation: Lead or support SAP FSRI implementation projects, including configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, FS-CD).
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate and improve reinsurance accounting, claims, and reporting processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide post-implementation support, resolve system issues, and ensure continuous process improvement.
- Documentation & Training: Create user documentation and deliver training sessions to ensure smooth adoption and knowledge transfer.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Information Technology or Marketing in the area AND
- 7 or more years of software product management or product development experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in software development defining desktop and web based applications
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of experience in software product management or product development area OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 7 or more years' experience in the product management or product development area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 7 or more years of hands-on experience with SAP FSRI (implementation, configuration, and support).
- Strong understanding of reinsurance processes and financial accounting.
- Well versed with RAM process, treaty setup design, SIMA uploads.
- Have basic knowledge of AIM tool for data loads.
- Have extensive experience with SCMA job scheduling.
- Extensive experience of Risk Manager and Basic system accounting.
- Interact with business on a day-to-day basis, to gather the requirements, and convert them to Functional Specs.
- Experience with integration to other SAP modules and third-party systems is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills
At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $124,410.00 to $203,610.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
