Scrum Master
Zurich North America is currently hiring for a Scrum Master to lead projects within Enterprise Underwriting Solutions. This person will report to a Technical Director and will work in a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Management of projects and initiatives related to policy administration applications within Zurich North America (ZNA).
- Scrum master for team activities – application release process and projects.
- Managing projects to modernize legacy applications by updating technology and re-hosting to Azure.
- Responsible for managing project work of onshore and offshore resources across different geographies.
- Technology project management within a scrum/agile development environment.
- Managing new application development and quality assurance projects.
- There is significant coordination with ZNA business and technology teams.
- Day to day operations management of medium to large projects with multiple teams operating globally.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area AND
- Experience in strategic and operational consulting or business systems integration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced experience managing projects in an agile/scrum environment.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies like Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Technology project management experience in .Net and Azure platform.
- Experience managing onshore and offshore resources in a matrix environment.
- Advanced experience with SDLC concepts.
- Ability to coach the team on Agile principles, practices, and values, helping them to become self-organized and effective.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is well-defined and prioritized.
- Experience as a liaison between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Knowledge of relevant coding languages, databases, and project management tools is a plus.
- Insurance industry experience.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $108,200.00 - $177,100.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
