Senior Business Systems Analyst

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst and this person will report to an Application Delivery Manager within Enterprise Underwriting Solutions.  This person will work in a hybrid schedule out of our Schaumburg North America HQ. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinates and leads activities with business owners to gather detailed requirements from through interviews, documentation and facilitated working sessions for approved projects and enhancements.
  • Monitors business decisions and manages requirements documentation and communication.
  • Leads analysis of requirements to determine the systems’ potential and defines impact to other business units and systems. In addition, provides input to the development effort.
  • Creates process models based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
  • Supports system configuration and integration testing including the functionality, performance and fit to ensure original requirements are met.
  • Evaluates project impact through consultation with the business, regulatory, Information Technology management, development, quality assurance, validation, and training teams.
  • Manages work plans, timelines and budgets. Evaluates relative feedback and Return On Investment to effectively prioritize projects.

  • Partners with stakeholders to identify necessary department resources to meet defined objectives.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science or engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area AND
  • Experience with process modeling tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Guidewire applications, Guidewire Underwriting Management.
  • Experience with Pega systems.
  • Experience with Power Point and Share Point.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams/applications/systems to gain alignment and synergy.
  • Extensive experience consulting with stakeholders on requirements and documentation of requirements.
  • Experience working on enterprise level projects.
  • Knowledge of insurance and financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance business processes and processing.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education.  The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $94,050.00 to $154,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
