Senior Cloud Operations Analyst

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Senior Cloud Operations Analyst professional to work for its team out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL where the Analyst will be responsible for improving and maintaining the computing capabilities of the cloud processes.  The Analyst will also be tasked with handling the portfolio of processes migrated and to be migrated to the cloud and should have extensive knowledge of the cloud computing environment.  Analyzing the current platform and creating the proper plans for enhanced cloud processes and spend optimization will be paramount.

 

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing cloud computes frequently

  • Defining plans that optimize spend

  • Track and manage Cloud actual costs vs contracted revenue

  • Understanding business requirements

  • Performing impact analysis and assess technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcome

  • Management of the Cloud Business Operations reporting/dashboards, including data
    integrity

  • Drive Automation adoption across the Enterprise

  • Gathers metrics and works to ensure workload capacity and performance remains within acceptable parameters

  • Assist in categorizing help desk incident tickets and recommending additional updates or improvements

         

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance Operations area
    OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Insurance Operations area OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance Operations area
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People management experience

  • Experience with Private / Public Cloud services and technologies

  • Experience with virtual/cloud infrastructure

  • Cloud solutions implementations experience

  • Knowledge of Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as Service (IaaS)

  • Experience with Cloud technologies with focus in Hyper converged platforms, Scale I/O storage technology, VMware, VSphere, VxRack, VxBlock or Vblock technologies, Avamar and data domain data protection

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong consulting and influencing skills

  • Operational understanding of IP-based computer networking within LAN and WAN environments including implementations in a public cloud environment

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

  • Experience with Remedy and Service Now technology

  • Insurance industry experience or knowledge of the insurance industry
