*Senior Engineer - Platform Services

Zurich (Schaumburg IL) seeks a Senior Engineer - Platform Services to be part of the End User Technology team and focus on the delivery of a consistent product and computing experience to the Zurich North America workforce. Specific duties include: performing software packaging and distribution; performing software packaging, testing process, ensuring compliance at local and global guidelines; providing incident resolution support that ensures end user satisfaction; working closely with EUC Platform manager to support implementing policies, procedures, and systems and following through with implementation; and communicating customer issues with operations team and devising ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints; managing vulnerabilities for end points, managing virtual and physical devices build process; performing testing for any build related change testing; implementing changes to environment; and providing training for Level 2 engineers. Option to work remotely 40% of the time.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as an Assistant Consultant, Technical Specialist, Senior Software Engineer, System Administrator, or similar position in the Management Information Systems. Must have 5 years of software packaging experience with each of the following: designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining software packaging; writing power shells to develop and automate any of the repeated processes; and customizing software package using the wrappers. Must also have 3 years of experience working with each of the following: Microsoft Intune for device management; software deployment and release management; Patch management and vulnerability management; and Active Directory Group policies and Service now ITSM process. Option to work remotely 40% of the time.
