Senior Financial Transformation Lead

We are looking for a Senior Finance/Accounting Business Consultant to work out of our Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, our customers, and the team. 

 

In this highly visible role, you will work closely with various leaders/process owners/suppliers across finance to understand accounting and financial reporting challenges/requirements, while assisting in the delivery of general accounting daily processing and month end closing activities to ensure they are completed in line with business objectives.

 

The Senior Finance/Accounting Business Consultant will be responsible for:

 

  • Translating information into proposed solutions and requirements involving process optimization, automation, and is actively involved in the governance of offshoring/outsourcing operations to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Leading the implementation of small to medium project efforts and supporting the Accounting operation on larger initiatives.
  • Documenting and updating process changes to reflect current processes and contributing to continuous improvement
  • Performing in a governance role for outsourced/offshore general accounting operations by developing and maintaining relationships with supplier and business, sustaining, and improving operations, monitoring financial reporting and performance, while ensuring processes are compliant with contractual obligations and business objectives are met.
  • Participating in development of transition plans, implementation, and training activities for offshore and outsourced teams
  • Acting as the subject matter expert in general accounting principles by conducting account reconciliation reviews and initiating changes to ensure the quality of the balance and financial records

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and 10 or more years of experience in the Accounting and Finance area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 12 or more years of experience in the Accounting and Finance area
    AND
  • Experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Project Management and Financial Business systems / integrations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledge and experience with Business Process Offshoring/Outsourcing
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and assembling and leading project teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills
  • Experience with core process redesign, continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience leading workstreams/projects
  • Experience with change management tools/methodologies
  • Microsoft Office experience – intermediate to advanced
