Senior Financial Performance Analyst

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Senior Financial Performance Analyst to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

 

The Senior Financial Performance Analyst will be part of a dynamic, innovative, and fast‑paced Financial Reporting team. This position is best suited for candidates with an accounting background who can apply sound accounting judgment to financial analysis and reporting. This role acts as a liaison between Finance and the business units, providing detailed financial analysis to support decision‑making and the achievement of performance targets. The team is responsible for the accurate, complete, and timely preparation of a wide range of reporting deliverables, with a focus on actionable insights that impact both the operational and financial performance of the business.

 

 

Additional responsibilities will include:

 

  • Deliver robust, timely financial performance information, to enhance business decision‑making across Finance and the business.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant financial systems and end‑to‑end processes, acting as a subject matter expert and liaison to financial accounting and accounting policy.
  • Analysis of finance operations business systems and processes to ensure compliance within Zurich’s internal control framework.
  • Completion of monthly/quarterly close tasks, including standard and ad hoc reporting as well as oversight of several general ledger activities
  • Expanding reporting and analysis capabilities of the team through cross collaboration with business unit teams and other functions within Finance
  • Focus on process efficiency across team to identify and support execution of efficiencies using automation tools including Alteryx and O365 Power tools.

 

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area

 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Relevant Accounting background or CPA
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The proposed Salary range for this position is $95,900.00 - $157,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
