Senior Performance Analyst or Assistant Finance Director
Zurich is seeking an experienced Senior Performance Analyst or Assistant Finance Director to join the Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) Finance team. This role plays a critical part in delivering timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights that support strategic decision-making and drive business performance.
This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week presence in the Schaumburg Headquarters.
As a key financial partner, you will collaborate across segments and leadership to ensure alignment of financial goals with business objectives. This role will support budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis. In addition, it will support ad hoc requests, projects and cross-train with other members of the team.
This position will work with the ZRS North America Leadership Team to prepare performance analysis packages and lead the financial plan cycle. The position will also work with the team to create new insights for a fast-growing organization to enable good decision making.
This individual will work in a team environment and have intermediate experience in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will be an individual that is a skilled Finance professional with a keen understanding of planning and forecasting along with the desire to take on increasing responsibilities. Other critical skills include being a good communicator (both written and verbal) and having an analytical and strategic mindset. The role requires minimal supervision and ability to lead projects where needed.
The role will be filled at the Senior Performance Analyst or Assistant Finance Director level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Senior Performance Analyst:
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
AND - Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other visualization / scorecard tools
OR
Assistant Finance Director:
- Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
AND - Leadership experience
- Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other visualization / scorecard tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA, CPCU, CFA, CTP or MBA
- Bachelors Degree in Finance
- P&L management experience
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Experience in SAP, BPC and Power BI
- Insurance industry experience
- Project management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The combined salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $207,600.00. The proposed salary range for the Senior Performance Analyst is $96,000.00 - $157,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%. The proposed salary range for the Assistant Finance Director is $126,800.00 - $207,600.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
