Senior Performance Data Analyst

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Senior Performance Data Analyst to join our Planning & Performance Management Team.  While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg, Illinois or our office in Chicago, IL, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

 

The Senior Performance Data Analyst responsibilities include:

 

  • Analyze underwriting, financial, and operational data to identify key drivers, trends, and patterns
  • Communicate analytical insights, trends and patterns to various stakeholders
  • Develop and continuously improve forecasting and predictive models to support P&L planning and rolling forecasts
  • Partner with Finance and Actuarial teams to embed analytics into planning tools 
  • Deploy AI agents to automate forecasting tasks, scenario analysis, data quality, and other checks
  • Use AI agents to surface insights, risks, and driver sensitivities in near real time
  • Participate in special projects as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications:

  

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance are

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Professional experience working with data mining, machine learning, predictive modeling and AI agents
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience
  • Strong communication skills to explain model outputs, assumptions, and insights to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, or rolling forecast processes
  • Familiarity with planning and forecasting systems (e.g., Anaplan, BPC, EPM, or similar tools)
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Project management experience

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The proposed Salary range for this position is $87,200.00 - $142,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
