Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Specialty Architect I Guidewire responsible for working with business analysts, business partners, developers and architects to support existing integrations and develop new integrations into and out of Zurich’s Policy Administration System. Specific duties include: lend specific subject matter knowledge to the design and integration phase of various Integration implementation projects, helping to give specificity to the appropriate architecture, data model, and system design and interfacing requirements; participate in Inception and product backlog grooming which involves evaluating and identifying the new and changed integrations into and out of Policy Administration System (Policy Center); convert the new and changed functionalities into product backlogs and features list; participate in the development of Proof-of-Concepts; involve in designing of accelerators to identify and automate complex business functionality or process which are often used; propose and support performance improvements by streamlining existing workflows and processes; provide recommendations for server and operations setup; provide technical guidance in mitigating any critical Production support incidents and work with the Business teams to provide workaround; collaborate with cross functional teams to enumerate technical specifications that meet business requirements, which includes coordinating with development teams, business partners and architects to ensure the technical standards are followed. Option to work remotely with required travel to Schaumburg, IL office twice a week.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 6 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Sr. Product Specialist - Tech, Sr. IT consultant, Software Engineer, Consultant, or similar position working with business analysts, business partners, developers and architects to support existing integrations and develop new integrations. Must have 3 years of experience working with Guidewire. Specific experience must also include: developing and maintaining GOSU for configuring Guidewire Policy Center applications; working with Guidewire Policy Center Version 9 or greater; working with integrations using services; designing multi-tier web applications involving complex integrations with vendor packages; working with CM tool Agile Central (Jira) in an Agile environment; and working in Commercial Insurance. Option to work remotely with required travel to Schaumburg, IL office twice a week.

The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $146,842.
