Statistical Analyst or Enterprise Data Specialist

Zurich North America is hiring a Statistical Analyst or Enterprise Data Specialist to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Schaumburg, IL.

 

Purpose:

 

  • Identify and validate data scenarios, and recognize opportunities with actionable plans in order to support the improvement and efficiency of the organization’s decision-making capabilities through high quality and transparent premium and actuarial data.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Participate in key Enterprise Data Initiative team projects, supporting underlying data capture and utilization opportunities.
  • Identify data most valuable to the organization, and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model.
  • Establish working relationships with key technical leads throughout the organization and third party partners, and ensure ongoing alignment with their activities and the overall organization’s strategic direction.
  • Assist in the evolution of the physical data designs for new and ongoing projects, ensuring consistency and standardization across multiple projects or data flows.
  • Research data anomalies and develop recommendations to solve unique organizational and enterprise data problems.
  • Aggregate, consolidate and develop technical documentation surrounding the organization’s Information Architecture.

 

This role will be filled at either the Statistical Analyst or Enterprise Data Specialist Level.  The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Statistical Analyst:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Statistical Analysis area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Statistical Analysis area

 

OR

 

Enterprise Data Specialist:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Management area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Data Management area
    AND
  • Experienced in data interrogation, data profiling or data modeling

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • SQL and VBA programming experience
  • Commercial insurance experience
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to effectively manage changing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with change management tools/methodologies
  • In-depth experience with testing scenarios execution
  • Experience leading teams of project consultants

 

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $58,700.00 - $161,000.00. The proposed salary range for the Statistical Analyst is $58,700.00 - $96,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%. The proposed salary range for the Enterprise Data Specialist is $98,300.00 - $161,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
