Leadership Development Program Leader

The position is hybrid with an estimated 1 day a week in the in North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

 

The Leadership Development Program Leader ensures a best-in-class leadership development experience through the innovative development, delivery, and program management of impactful, scalable learning solutions. This role supports the growth and capability development of Zurich leaders and managers playing an integral role in creating a culture of learning. The Program Leader works closely with talent development colleagues, HR, and the business to positively impact organizational goals.

Key Accountabilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Experience creating and implementing large-scale leadership development programs for leaders and managers, leveraging appropriate learning technologies and modalities to achieve intended program impact and pre-eminent learner experiences.

  • Partners with talent development, HR, and the business to understand development needs; leverages design thinking and other innovative approaches to determine appropriate learning solutions.  

  • Acts as an administrator for the learning management system: creates learning paths, manages and updates course content and communications, and reports registrations and completions.  

  • Partners with talent development colleagues to curate and customize learning solutions to address individual and key stakeholder needs based on common requests, knowledge, and skill gaps.

  • Serves as cohort leader providing ongoing coaching and feedback support to leader and manager cohorts throughout their learning journey.

  • Administers feedback surveys, facilitates focus groups, conducts data analysis, and makes recommendations based on feedback to continuously improve and measure the impact of the leadership and manager development learning experiences.

  • Partners with talent development colleagues and vendors to create and facilitate learning solution pilots and learning journeys.

 

Additional Job Functions:

  • Conducts external research to identify new trends and best practices to integrate leading learning innovations and technologies into the talent development programs.

  • Builds cross-functional relationships and works collaboratively as part of large and small teams.

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Learning and Development or Organizational Development or Human Resources area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Learning and Development or Organizational Development or Human Resources area

OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Learning and Development or Organizational Development or Human Resources area

AND

  • 8 or more years of experience consulting with business partners or clients, or in project management

  • Experience in learning and development/education, performance consulting or human performance

  • Experience in coaching human resources and business leaders on learning and development initiatives

  • Experience in instructional design including web-based learning

  • Experience with e-Learning systems

  • Experience with vendor management

 

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or related field

  • Insurance industry experience

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong consulting, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Strong project management skills
