Financial Line Junior Underwriter

SUMMARY: The purpose of this role is to work with the Financial Lines Team supervised by the Line Manager in order to develop the portfolio. 

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Risk Assessment, industrial and financial analysis, pricing and setting terms (with a focus on technology sector).
2.Assist in risk assessment questionnaires and information organization.
3.Relationship maintenance with brokers and market counterparties 
4.Participate in market and industry research (cybersecurity incidents, regulatory developments, etc.)
5.Product Promotion and business development

QUALIFICATION:
1.University graduate or Postgraduate with 1-3 years working experience 
2.Specific insurance, IT, information security, actuarial, audit, consulting
3.Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity or the IT industry
4.Strong data organization and analytical skills
5.Specific underwriting knowledge: 
      -understanding of policy wordings 
      -understanding of the China market 
      -learning ability of emerging industry and new business model. 
6.User of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 
7.Working capability in English
TECHNICAL SKILL:
1.Ability to assess risk hazards and exposures and to determine appropriate rates for individual risks. 
2.Ability to manage, monitor & control underwriting results on a portfolio and producer basis. 
3.Ability to establish standards for market segmentation, risk selection pricing. 
4.Able to apply client management strategies. 
5.Quick learning ability.
