System Analyst

Main job responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and enhance General and/ or Life insurance application system per SDLC cycle with focus on user requirement study and analysis, solution design, and overall project deliverables.
  • Conduct accurate requirement study on both business and application systems under responsible areas, either independently (small to medium scale tasks) or under the guidance of the supervisor (large size projects).
  • Formulate feasible and optimal solution based on business requirements, produce quality analysis and design on assigned tasks, provide technical support and guide programmers throughout the project lifecycle, and conduct hands-on application development work whenever needed.
  • Review design/architecture and technical specifications to ensure the system development is scalable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure the implementation of software and IT solutions are accurate with high quality; and the complete documentation is provided per SDLC required.
  • Ensure the IT solution is compliance with group IT standard, security policies, and regulatory requirement.
  • Assist in building up the team’s capabilities on various technical and business areas.
  • Provide appropriate guidance and manage our external partners on delivering various business solutions within agreed timeline and budget.
  • Familiarity with cloud platform (Azure or AWS) and container technology (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Internal relationship:  various stakeholders from business departments; as well as team members from various IT team.
  • External relationship: work with assigned external service providers and offshore team on delivering IT solutions.

Your Skills and Experience：

  • Bachelor degree of Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experiences in system analysis, designs and development.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting B2C, B2B and/or large-scale project/system.
  • Experience in implementation of COTS and ground up solutions.
  • Experience in General and/ or Life insurance industry is preferred.
  • Solid experience in Microsoft .NET Framework or Full stack technologies:
    • Next Js
    • .Net MVC
    • .NetCore
    • ASP.Net
    • WebAPI

 

  • Solid experience in SQL, shell scripting, and multiple database management skills like MS SQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Solid experience in Web Services (REST & SOAP Web Services), JSON, XML, openAPI concept.
  • Good understanding of Microservices architecture, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and DevOps concepts.
  • Be proactive, creative, open minded, and with good problem solving skills.
  • Customer focus and business oriented.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Fluent (verbal and written) language capabilities in English.
