We are seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to join our Data & Digital team. Be part of our dynamic journey as we empower different business functions with automation and AI solutions. Job Description

As an AI Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • AI Solution Development: Identify and translate business needs into technical requirements. Design and build AI solutions and agents with scalable architectures. Create and execute test cases, resolve issues, and use feedback to refine model performance. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to address data needs, operationalize AI use cases, and support automation initiatives.
  • Data Preparation & Management: Acquire, cleanse, and manage multiple datasets to ensure high data quality and model accuracy. Design, implement and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure Cloud.
  • Deployment, Cloud Infrastructure & Integration:
    Set up robust cloud infrastructure to enable reliable and scalable deployment of AI/ML solutions in production. Deploy models as APIs or microservices to integrate seamlessly with existing applications, applying MLOps and DevOps best practices. Manage authentication and authorization using Azure AD, Okta, OAuth, or comparable identity management systems.
  • AI Governance: Manage Zurich’s AI governance framework. Promote fairness and minimize bias while guiding AI use cases through every stage in the lifecycle—from requirements gathering, data preparation, development to deployment and ongoing support.
  • Continuous improvement: Drive continuous improvement by enhancing model performance, maintaining high data quality, and staying current with the latest advancements in AI and data technologies.

 

Your Skills and Experience

An AI Engineer should bring the following technical skills, among others:

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in AI/ML Engineer/Data Scientist role with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Hands-on experience and proven ability to work with LLMs, AI Agents, APIs, Databricks, ADF,  LogicApp, Data modeling,  Python, as well as familiarity with LangChain, RAG, MCP, Swagger UI, and modern data platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data processing, model evaluation, and deployment practices
  • Knowledge of Relational SQL , NoSQL databases,  web technologies- Streamlit, React.js, HTML, etc and visualization tools- PowerBI
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/Gitlab
  • Understanding of Microservices architecture- Hands-on experience in developing and deploying Microservices solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI, SpringBoot
  • Experience in designing and implementing automation workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power App/Automate) would be an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
