AI Engineering Intern

We are seeking a curious, driven, and technically strong AI Engineering Intern to join our Digital team. This is a hands-on role for someone excited to build real-world applications powered by applied AI agents. The applications and work you would do have the chance to ship into production and create measurable business impact.

You’ll work alongside experienced AI engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions that solve concrete business problems — from process enhancements to quality control and user acceptance testing automation. As part of this, you’ll also get hands-on exposure to how AI solutions are validated and adopted by the business, not just how they’re built.

Your Role

As an AI Engineering Intern, your main responsibilities will involve:

• Build applied AI agents using LangChain and LangGraph to automate workflows across functions
• Develop full-stack AI applications, designing APIs with FastAPI, integrating with front-end interfaces, architecting to handle high application throughput and user scaling, and ensuring solutions are production-ready.
• Contribute to system design discussions, helping shape architecture decisions for scalable, maintainable AI solutions.
• Support automation initiatives, including AI application enhancements, document handling automation
• Own first-level UAT validation for initiatives going live, testing AI solutions before they go back to business stakeholders, logging and clearly communicating issues to the AI Engineers for resolution, and helping verify fixes — giving you direct exposure to how solutions perform in the real business context
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, demonstrate working prototypes, and bring forward your own observations or suggestions for improvement based on what you learn during testing and stakeholder conversations.

Your Skills and Experience

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software engineering best practices (version control, testing, clean coding).
• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with LangChain; exposure to LangGraph is a plus.
• Solid understanding of LLMs and agentic AI concepts such as AI tool use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent orchestration, long and short-term memory, multi-agent workflows.
• Experience building applications with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks.
• Full-stack development exposure, comfortable working across back-end and front-end layers.
• Foundational system design knowledge, understanding of APIs, databases, async processing, and how components fit together.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a builder's mindset, you enjoy shipping things.
• Nice to have: cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), RPA tools, or prior internship/project experience deploying AI solutions.
