API & Integration Senior Developer

The Opportunity

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity, working as our API & Integration Senior Developer within the Asia Pacific region. Within the role you’ll Build and unit/integration testing of APIs and integration.

You will have a chance to be part of new project that will build a new end-to-end Digital Native Insurance Platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities

• Minimum of 8 years software development experience
• 5+ years’ experience in MuleSoft and Experience in Cloudhub/Onprem
• Designing and developing APIs from specification to implementation in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including Anypoint API Designer, Anypoint Exchange, Anypoint API Portal and Anypoint Studio
• Experience with security APIs
• Documentation of APIs using Swagger
• Experience with high volume and high concurrency applications
• Build a deep understanding of business requirements and best ways to build integrations / APIs.
• Past experiences with development tools such as Git, Artifactory, Maven, Jenkins, Confluence, SonarQube, etc is desirable
• Play a hands-on role in the development process including design, development and support of the applications
• Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
• Ability to communicate technical or architecture concepts in a simple manner and can adapt to different audiences.
• Experience navigating medium to large applications
• Solid knowledge of Object Oriented design principles
• Interfacing with other teams for technical details related to integration between systems (both internal & external)
• Strong knowledge of technology and product trends, especially what is happening in open source, DevOps, AI. Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Your Skills & Experience

• 8+ years programming experience.
• Strong experience with API development using REST/JSON, Swagger & Postman
• 5+ years of experience in Mule/Java programming.
• Experience with SOAP, JavaScript programming, design patterns
• Experience with MuleSoft and AWS highly regarded
• Experience with JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo, Sonarqube
• Knowledge of object-oriented modelling
• Sound understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies
