Job Qualifications

  • Bussiness Analyst experience in Insurance sector
  • Knowledge of Operations
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Preferred experience in use of data analytics platform 
  • 4-6 years of experience in Operations role.

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

• Accountable for reporting to the Project Sponsor/Project Manager/Program Manager progress against plan and ensuring program / project governance is followed.
• Responsible for the management of change control, risks and issues including mitigating activity and closure.
• Provide leadership and direction to work stream members ensuring delivery of critical milestones are met to agreed time, cost and quality metrics.
• Responsible for producing the bottom up plan of activity and for the subsequent securing of business resources.
• Gather and define business requirements, developing functional specifications.
• Develop, plan and lead design workshops, produce detailed process flows.
• Define and document revised business processes.
• In depth detailed reviews of any proposed solution design provided by internal or external parties, business and technical documents.
• Facilitate communications to inform the business of planned solutions and assist with training activities.
• Involved in planning for aspects of test execution, scope, objectives and plans including interaction with the Information Technology and Business Process test Manager.
• Provide post implementation support to mitigate risks and issues until steady state has been achieved.
• Reports to the Business Performance Manager and works alongside business and Information Technology representatives to ensure alignment and consistency to the proposed and approved business solution.
• Provide the Business Performance Manager with informed updates following receipt and review of initial work estimates.
• Identification of risks and issues with subsequent mitigating activity for resolution and closure.
• Assist the project team in the production of delivery plans.
• Leads small scale local projects, directing and leading cross functional resources.

• Steady state has been achieved within the Business As Usual model following the introduction of change as demonstrated.
• Regulatory compliance and compliance with Group or Business Unit Policy achieved; prompt action taken where non compliance identified.
• High quality, relevant and timely analysis and recommendations made.
• Positive feedback/commentary on Project Management effectiveness.
• Adherence to Program Governance was evident.
• 3rd party transformation delivery has undergone a satisfactory GO decision based on recommendations given following oversight activity.
• Effective Stakeholder Management at the most senior level.
• Customer Outcomes summaries confirm a continued positive result for all outcomes.

Business Accountabilities

• Support local implementation of operational change processes and adhere to new ways of working where applicable.
• Identify and comply with the main principles relevant to legal and regulatory controls that govern standard work practices.
• Monitor operational processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement (cost reduction, increased efficiency, improved customer service).
• Resolve customer/distributor issues/queries/service requests independently and recommend alternative sources/courses of action if unable to assist, to ensure that efficient, day to day customer service is delivered.
• Follow a range of processes to meet the needs and expectations of customers and other stakeholders, delivering against operational Key Performance Indicators.
• Acting as a technical specialist in own area, receive, investigate and respond to technical queries from customers, distributors and/or colleagues to ensure customers receive appropriate advice.
• Monitor and take responsibility for resources within defined procedures, and minimize the use of resources where possible to reduce cost.
