Communications Business Partner, APAC (6 Months Contract)

The Opportunity

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an execution-focused individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to join the APAC Regional Office on a 6-month secondment to be based in Singapore. You will be working closely with the APAC CEO and Senior Leadership from across the region, supporting the execution of communications and key strategic initiatives.

 

The role is ideal for anyone who has an interest in communications and is keen to broaden their experience and transferable skillset, grow their global network and take the next opportunity to develop their career. This is a 6 months contract role (Timeframe: 1 May to 30 Oct 2024).

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Working closely with the APAC Communications Partner to support and contribute to the development and implementation of integrated communication plans and programs for the Regional Office
  • Creating internal and external communications for all channels including collaterals and other supporting materials, (e.g., social media posts, internal e-mail updates, etc.)
  • Designing and developing appropriate material/slides (reports, presentations, talking points, briefing materials, etc.) for senior leaders for use at internal and external meetings, conferences, seminars, public events, etc.
  • Supporting short term communication projects and assisting with the management of longer-term communications projects
  • Participating in/managing small to medium-sized projects relevant to the execution of the APAC regional strategy, as needed.
  • Assisting with coordination of company events, as needed
  • Assisting with ad-hoc partner meetings and office / external event management from curation to coordination with support from EAs and office administration.
  • Partnering with relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient and smooth execution of key initiatives, as requested by Senior Executives
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry activity, issues and current affairs applying to media relations activity as appropriate.
  • Responding to urgent and timely requests from senior leaders for information, technical briefings, and analysis.

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Chances are you have a broad range of experience with a good knowledge of communications. However, what matters is that you’re flexible, eager to learn and are highly motivated with a drive and ability to succeed at any given task
  • Strong proven track record of effective stakeholder and relationship management
  • Experience of communications design and delivery preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Sensitivity to global working environments and cross culture teams
  • Experience in working with Senior Executives and effective stakeholder and relationship management.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive materials and critical assignments professionally.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as Office 365 apps.
  • Independent, meticulous, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management, planning, organization skills and able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5 or more years of experience in related field and with 8 or more years of experience in the Insurance/ Financial industry preferable.
