Our opportunity

The regional Data and Analytics team is at the heart of driving innovation across our business units, championing AI adoption and data maturity throughout the APAC region. As a Data Science Intern, you’ll join a dynamic, collaborative team that thrives on solving real-world challenges and making a measurable impact. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with stakeholders, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge AI and analytical solutions using the latest data science and engineering practices. Your role

As a Data Science Intern your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, design, and engineer scalable data solutions that address business needs.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain AI-driven applications and APIs using FastAPI, containerized with Docker and orchestrated via CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub Actions.
  • Leverage SQL and NoSQL databases to manage, query, and optimize structured and unstructured data, ensuring robust data pipelines and storage architectures.
  • Develop and operationalize advanced models in machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and generative AI using frameworks such as LangGraph and OpenAI Agents, OpenCV and more.
  • Utilize Azure cloud services to architect, scale, and secure data science solutions in compliance with enterprise best practices.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of data initiatives, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Analyze multi-source datasets to provide actionable business insights, automate processes, and drive customer engagement improvements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and technical adoption through demonstrations, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving.

 

Your Skills & Experience

As a Data Science Intern your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Ongoing or completed bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience implementing data science projects that deliver measurable value.
  • Proficiency in statistical and predictive modeling techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, LLMs, etc.).
  • Practical experience managing and processing both structured (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL, free text, images, web data) datasets.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using frameworks such as FastAPI and tools like Docker for deployment.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and modern AI libraries and orchestration tools (e.g., LangGraph, OpenAI Agents) is a plus
  • Demonstrated history of delivering data science solutions or proof-of-concept projects.
