About the business
Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) is Zurich’s global advisory and risk consulting business. The APAC Climate Resilience Centre will serve as Zurich’s regional platform for climate resilience innovation, thought leadership, research, partnerships and client engagement across Asia-Pacific and globally.
About this role
A great opportunity exists as Head of APAC Climate Resilience Centre, reporting to the Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions, APAC.
The Head of APAC Climate Resilience Centre will be responsible for defining and executing the Centre’s vision, strategy and growth agenda. The role combines strategic leadership, commercial development, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
The role will build Zurich’s credibility as a provider of climate resilience services at government, sovereign and corporate level, develop the Centre team, and translate Zurich’s climate resilience capabilities into practical partnerships, advisory revenues and adaptation impact across Asia-Pacific.
Key responsibilities

Define and execute the strategic vision, operating model and growth roadmap for the APAC Climate Resilience Centre.

Build the Centre team, including sales, technical talent and programme/project management capability.

Position Zurich as a leading voice on climate resilience, adaptation and disaster risk reduction.

Develop and deepen relationships with government agencies, multilateral development banks, academia, industry bodies and strategic partners.

Drive commercial growth through climate resilience advisory services, partnerships and innovation.

Develop the first pipeline of advisory opportunities and support conversion into external fee revenue.

Lead flagship climate resilience research, reports and thought leadership initiatives.

Work with business development, distribution, underwriting and ZRS teams to connect Centre capabilities to client needs.

Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team.

Ensure strong governance, operational excellence and financial performance.

Ensure the wellbeing of team members and proactively work to identify and manage workplace exposures which may precipitate workplace stress, bullying, harassment and discrimination.
Important to your success
-
Senior leadership experience in climate resilience, sustainability, insurance, risk advisory, consulting, public policy, infrastructure, development finance or a related field.

Proven ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders across government, multilateral organisations, academia, industry associations and corporates.

Strong commercial orientation with experience shaping advisory propositions, building pipelines and converting strategic relationships into revenue or funded initiatives.

Good understanding of climate adaptation, physical climate risk, resilience, disaster risk reduction and/or risk financing.

Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and operate in a matrix environment across local, regional and global stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, executive briefing, thought leadership and strategic narrative development.

Comfort working in an entrepreneurial build-out environment where structures, partnerships and operating routines must be created while outcomes are delivered.

Role to be based in Singapore, with regional travel across Asia-Pacific as required.
