Job Title : Planning & Performance Management (Senior) Executive

Location : Singapore

 

The Opportunity :

 

As a member of the finance team in Zurich Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our financial results to the Region and Group and will have an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of business lines within commercial insurance.

 

Main responsibilities include supporting the Planning & Performance Management (PPM) team in the preparation and submission of key reporting, forecasting and annual planning deliverables and being a business partner to internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities :

 

  • Management Reporting: Assisting the PPM team in the timely and accurate submissions of deliverables for regular reporting and forecasting exercises
  • Financial Planning: Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Lines of Business Heads in Underwriting, Cost Centre Owners, Actuaries, and other business stakeholders to support the annual planning exercise for the Singapore business unit.
  • Communication: Acting as a business partner to key internal stakeholders and be responsible for any queries relating to financial information or trends. Working closely with other Finance teams such as Reserving Actuaries, Finance Operations and Financial Accounting & Reporting to achieve high quality reporting.
  • Business Process Optimisation and Project Management: Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and add value to the organization. Supporting initiatives and projects that contribute to improvement the overall efficiency of the planning and reporting processes.

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

 

  • 1-3 years of experience in finance or a related function, preferably in the insurance sector
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, business or related fields
  • Organised and detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as in a team
  • Experience with desktop tools, including Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills required, data analytics knowledge is an advantage)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A keen interest in finance and a passion for continuous learning
  • A desire to grow professionally and take on new challenges
