Product Owner, AI in Brand & Marketing
Context
Zurich APAC is running a strategic initiative focused on reimagining how insurance is discovered, considered and sold in an AI-led world. To support that, Brand & Marketing functions are entering an agentic era where AI that doesn't just assist a task but runs parts of a workflow end-to-end: drafting and routing content, monitoring brand presence, orchestrating campaigns, surfacing insight, and adapting to how customers will discover and evaluate insurance in the future. We're looking for a Product Owner to help build the agentic AI stack for the brand and marketing function of the future.
This is a build role: turning a vision for AI-led brand & marketing into working tools that brand, content, and country marketing teams can use every day.
What the Role Does
- Own the product roadmap for an agentic AI stack spanning brand & marketing workflows. Map the end-to-end brand & marketing function to identify where agentic AI creates real leverage
- Identify and pilot agentic workflows that meaningfully change how the function operates – from content & creative, brand governance, campaign orchestration, performance marketing incl. SEO/ AEO / GEO, A/B testing, market and competitive intelligence, to performance & measurement.
- Work hands-on with developers, marketing technology teams and external partners to scope, test and implement tools, not just advisory.
- Design with human-in-the-loop workflows so agents make marketers faster without eroding brand judgment or quality control.
- Help pilot new capabilities with specific country marketing teams before scaling regionally.
- Manage internal and external relationships needed to support the stack.
- Build internal capability and confidence around AI tools across APAC marketing teams, acting as a practitioner-advocate rather than a theorist
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- 5–8+ years in product management, martech, or marketing operations, with hands-on experience building or deploying relevant tools.
- Broad fluency across the marketing function (brand, content, campaigns, comms, performance) - don't need deep expertise in every discipline, but understanding of how they connect well enough to sequence a roadmap.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI tools relevant to marketing - not just awareness, but actual use and experimentation
- Strong strategic instinct: can frame an ambiguous problem, develop a point of view, and communicate it credibly to senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a squad/project model - this is not a conventional marketing role with a fixed scope; it requires comfort with building the plane while flying it
Strong Differentiators
- Experience in understanding the trust and regulatory dimensions that shape how the category behaves in AI environments
- Has worked in or closely with a product or technology team - can speak both languages
- Has built or contributed to agentic workflow implementations, not just evaluated them
What This Role Is Not
- A traditional SEO or performance marketing role
- A purely strategic advisory role - there is a clear expectation of hands-on delivery and implementation
- A team leadership role at the outset, though that may evolve as the initiative scales
Location & Scope
Singapore, Hong Kong or Malaysia based, with a regional APAC remit.
