Finance Transformation Lead in Stockholm

Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. We are now looking for a positive person to join our Finance team to drive finance transformation with an aim to improve and automate our processes and increase efficiency and with that have a positive impact on the overall engagement levels.

 

Our Finance area has undergone considerable change over the last years with implementation of IFRS 17, enabled reporting of Germany HGB and seen a growth in challenges from diversification of our business in the Nordic. At the same time much is happening both within the Zurich Group and externally when it comes to use of AI and other means of making finance processes more efficient. With the pace being high for our current resources we see the need for a role that can take a step back, challenge and evaluate what steps to take locally to ensure the finance function is fit for the future.

 

This role will report directly to the Nordic CFO. While this role has no direct reports you will work closely with the whole finance team with a special focus on Financial Accounting and Reporting as well as Credit Management processes. Being able to connect finance processes with our internal and external control framework will be important.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a Master of Science in Business and Economics with specialization in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant insurance related work experience with Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in English

 

Skills and competencies:

  • We see that you have experience with SAP as a reporting tool as well as having had experience of IFRS reporting.
  • Process and continuous improvement oriented with ability to drive change 
  • Interest in development of the overall Finance team and its processes
  • Service minded and strong communication skills
  • Open minded and flexible
  • High motivation, drive and integrity

 

As a person, you are someone with an interest for details but with an ability to challenge status quo and bring suggestions for change. You have a strong interest in systems and know your way around SAP or equivalent reporting software. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and you like working both independently and with both your local as well as global colleagues. You like to seek new solutions and you include the diversity and inclusion perspective into your leadership behaviors as well as the everyday work.
