Financial Controller
You will be part of the Nordic Finance team, which operates collaboratively. You will report directly to the Head of Planning & Performance Management (PPM). As a Financial Controller you split your time between analyzing data and being a finance business partner to our stakeholders; helping them understand how their portfolio’s are performing. You will be responsible for one of our countries and several products, allowing you to gradually learn about our Nordic portfolio. PPM is a small team with a broad range of responsibilities, therefore your ability to adapt, take ownership of your work, and work seamlessly with your colleagues will be crucial to our collective success.
Job description:
- Operationally support our closing process where we generate our actual results and forecast how the year will end. Afterwards you make sure your stakeholders understand these numbers so they can drive business decisions based on it.
- Contribute to the development and execution of our business strategy by generating actionable insights from analysing our financials.
- Design, create, and improve financial models and processes.
- Working together with the business to drive our annual financial planning cycle.
- Provide regular support as a subject matter expert (on Premium, Expenses, or Claims) to projects and internal initiatives.
- Take an active role in ensuring accuracy of numbers through our control process ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting)
Qualifications:
- An academic degree, preferably a Master of Science in Economics or Finance
- Preferably you have 2-3 years of work experience in controlling in the insurance industry specifically. However, we are also open to recent graduates in a more junior role. In this case we would prefer you have some relevant experience from an internship or side-job.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, equivalent to C2 level, are required

- Advanced Excel proficiency
- PowerBI experience is plus.
