Financial Lines Sweden Manager, Zurich Nordic

Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. We are now looking for a strong leader with a great portfolio management skillset to take on the position as Financial Lines Sweden Manager.

Job description

The Financial Lines Sweden Manager will have the responsibility for the Financial Lines P&L in Sweden and be the people manager for the Swedish FL-team. The role entails driving the FL distribution, sales and marketing for Sweden, identify & develop new business opportunities, ensure profitable growth including active pipeline management, leveraging local broker and client relationships and delivering superior service to our existing clients and partners. The Swedish FL-manager will be reporting to the Nordic Financial Lines Manager, and have a matrix reporting to the Swedish Branch Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the Financial Lines P&L for Sweden
• People manager for the Swedish FL team
• Ownership of Sweden FL strategy; within the framework of Nordic FL strategy develop local strategy that clearly outlines portfolio actions, distribution approach, value differentiators, annual wheel etc. and execution of the plan
• Reporting and tracking product numbers on Sweden level
• Position Zurich in the country FL market place and engage the local team to deliver on the strategies set
• Ownership of Nordic projects implementing to Sweden
• Ensuring Best Practices within Sweden FL team
• Ensure strong alignment working together with Nordic FL Head and Sweden Branch manager for effective support in fulfilling the Plans and ensuring delivery of goals and results

Qualifications:

• An academic degree in Economics, Law or equivalent experience
• Underwriting experience within Financial Lines
• Leadership experience from managing a team
• Extensive knowledge of the Nordic insurance industry and underwriting markets
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English

Skills and competencies:

• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues  
• Strong relationship builder 
• Good understanding of how to successfully manage a portfolio 
• Proven track record of successfully dealing with a variety of customer types and propositions, and interacting with brokers / customers 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
