Senior Underwriter Combined Product Insurance

As an underwriter, you will build up and be responsible for your own portfolio of contracts and customers with assignments such as premium setting, quotations, negotiations and measuring exposure and analyzing risk. You will underwrite new and renewal business and will build relationships in support of customer/business acquisition and retention. You will also proactively contribute ideas and work for the development of new or enhanced propositions based on technical, customer and distributor insights as well as proactively seek new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Head of Combined Product Insurance, you will be responsible for underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business, administering and monitoring underwriting rules, pricing tools and guidelines, and developing relationships with distributors to support business retention and acquisition. To succeed in this role, we believe you are entrepreneurial with a strong interest in new technology, innovative digital solutions, and modern working methods.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in Combined Product Insurance underwriting
• Extensive understanding of the market dynamics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English are required, with proficiency equivalent to the C2 level.
• B.Sc. or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience.

Skills and competencies:

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Strong data processing and analytical skills
• Technical background and knowledge of underwriting core processes
• Expertise in risk analysis and selection, as well as pricing for new business and renewals
• Strong negotiation skills with a sales-oriented mindset
• Effective presentation skills with a solutions and service-oriented approach
• High level of risk and business awareness

You are fast moving and flexible. You like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.
