Underwriter Group Schemes & Commercial Combined to Zurich Nordic

Are you ready to take your underwriting expertise to the next level? At Zurich Insurance, we’re looking for a skilled underwriter to help us create competitive insurance solutions for group schemes and commercial combined insurance.

About the role:
In this role you will manage and underwrite group schemes for various organizations and associations, often based on commercial combined insurance. Structured programs for defined customer groups, via brokers and partner arrangements with agreed eligibility and underwriting parameters. You’ll be responsible underwriting decisions, referrals, renewals and portfolio steering, ensuring strong technical quality and sustainable profitability.

You’ll also contribute to developing group scheme propositions, wording/coverage solutions and onboarding processes, and share insights to build best practice.

What you will do 

• Assess, price, and manage risks in insurance solutions tailored for businesses, either through brokers or group agreements.
• Analyse complex risks, set policy terms, and contribute to the company’s long-term profitability.
• Combine technical expertise with business acumen, working closely with insurance brokers, group representatives, and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate and issue quotes for corporate insurance schemes in line with Zurich’s underwriting guidelines, pricing methodologies, and relevant regulations.
• Analyse claims data and other risk factors to forecast future claims and determine insurance premiums.
• Gather and review background information to effectively assess risk.
• Prepare and deliver client utilisation reports, providing clear commentary and explanations of observed trends and scheme performance.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with commercial insurance at an insurer and/or a broker.
• Previous experience and proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or similar field.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish equivalent to C2 level.

• Good understanding of the underwriting process for specific and standard insurance products
• Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
• Good negotiation skills and sales oriented
• Strong presentation skills
