Underwriter Property to Zurich Nordic

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Underwriting Property Team, working from our Stockholm office.

Underwriter Property, Sweden

As an underwriter, you will build up and be responsible for your own portfolio of contracts and customers with assignments such as premium setting, quotations, negotiations and measuring exposure and analyzing risk. You will underwrite new and renewal business and will build relationships in support of customer/business acquisition and retention. You will also proactively contribute ideas and work for the development of new or enhanced propositions based on technical, customer and distributor insights. As well as proactively seek new business opportunities.

As a person, you are a team player and an analytical thinker. You are data driven and have a strong business and customer focus as well as interest in customer relationships and negotiation. You are fast moving and flexible. You like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience within commercial insurance in Sweden
• Good understanding in corporate and mid-market insurance within property
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business administration or economics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Swedish are required

Skills and competencies:

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Strong data processing skills and analytical skills
• Technical background and knowledge of the Swedish insurance market terminology.
• Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
• Good negotiation skills and sales oriented
• Good presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation
• High level of risk- and business awareness
