Location: Flexible however there will be travel to London, Swindon & Fareham  

 

The opportunity: 

 

UK Compliance is a second line oversight and advisory function responsible for supporting Zurich's UK management in promoting a culture of compliance and providing assurance that compliance risks are appropriately identified and managed.

What will you be doing? 

 

The Financial Crime Compliance Team at Zurich UK is responsible for operationalising and overseeing the core elements of the Financial Crime Risk Management Framework,

covering Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, Fraud, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Insider Dealing and Market Abuse.  This includes governance and oversight activity, policy management, business advice and challenge, and managing Compliance escalations and investigations.

 

  • Provide guidance/support for the interpretation and implementation of Financial Crime Policies and controls
  • Identify, interpret, impact assess and coordinate actions in respect of Financial Crime industry trends and regulatory developments
  • Act as a point of contact for escalation of Sanctions, Fraud and AML/CTF queries and advice requests
  • Actioning regulatory / Law Enforcement Agency reporting and notifications on Financial Crime matters.
  • Input to and where appropriate coordinate internal reporting and MI
  • Support in defining, designing and providing Financial Crime Compliance training
  • Conduct Financial Crime Compliance oversight and monitoring activities
  • Supporting colleagues with complex Financial Crime investigations
  • Attend and represent Financial Crime Compliance at internal and external fora as appropriate, raising awareness of Financial Crime risks.
  • Maintain a stakeholder network (internal and external)
  • Support Manager and Team with operational processes, governance and other activities as needed

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Solid working knowledge of Financial Crime laws, regulations, and guidance.
  • Familiar with design, implementation and maintenance of governance and policy frameworks
  • Experience supporting identification and implementation of regulatory change Experience conducting risk assessments
  • Familiarity with the insurance market (Life and/or Property & Casualty)
  • Able to influence and provide and receive constructive challenge
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Solutions oriented and inquisitive, with ability to creatively solve problems
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Experience of prioritising to meet deadlines
  • Focused on personal development
  • Committed to high standards, with an attention to detail
