The opportunity:

Join our UK Operations Governance Team and play a key part in supporting a wide range of risk and control activities that underpin our UK Operations Function. You’ll help deliver and maintain an effective governance framework, working with colleagues across the business and gaining exposure to varied processes and initiatives.

What will you be doing?
- Help deliver an effective Governance and Risk Management Framework for UK Operations, ensuring risk and control management, policy adherence, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate and support documentation for risk and control activities across UK Operations.
- Manage governance administration and support the use of relevant systems within the Operations function.
- Ensure timely completion of risk, controls, and governance actions, working closely with colleagues across the business.
- Assist with quarterly risk management reviews and controls testing.
- Organise and support Operations Governance meetings, including minute taking and tracking actions and decisions.
- Review existing Governance Frameworks, suggesting improvements where needed.
- Foster a strong governance culture by building positive relationships with stakeholders, including Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams.
- Support the team with breach and event logging, monitoring issues through to resolution, and applying root cause analysis to recommend corrective actions.
- Drive data-led improvements by designing and building Power BI dashboards and Power Apps solutions to support governance and risk reporting.
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills
- Confident using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Comfortable with AI tools such as ZuriChat and CoPilot
- Experience designing and creating solutions with Power BI and Power Apps (not just using but actively building dashboards and apps).
- If you don’t have advanced Power BI/Power Apps experience yet, a demonstrable enthusiasm for learning these tools and a proactive approach to developing your skills is equally important.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Committed to high-quality work and meeting deadlines, even when things get busy
- Effective working independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Zurich UK Business and the UK Operations function
- Understanding of Risk Management, Compliance or Governance
- A positive attitude and a passion for improving processes and supporting the business to grow
