Zurich Canada team is currently looking for a post-secondary student for an 8- or 12-month internship/co-op placement within Finance. In this role, you will support the Planning & Performance Management team by analyzing data, developing insights, building reports and dashboards, and identifying practical opportunities to improve finance workflows through automation, AI-enabled tools, and process enhancements

  

This position is for 8- or 12-month placement only

 

You will work under direct supervision and perform requested tasks alongside experienced professionals. This opportunity is part of our internship program and is also open to Co-op students.

What you will do

• Assist with data gathering, analysis, and preparation of reports.
• Help investigate data issues and provide accurate updates to the team.
• Run regular and ad-hoc reports using established templates and processes.
• Update and maintain business dashboards to ensure stakeholders have the latest information.
• Help ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports.
• Support the team in identifying practical opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI-enabled tools, and process enhancements

Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table

Required:
• Currently enrolled or recently completed bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Computer/Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience in data, reporting, or analytical support role (internships and placements welcome).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with dashboard or data visualization tools (such as Power BI) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to work.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from others.
• Be legally eligible to work in Canada


Preferred:
• Previous coursework, project experience, or work experience involving data analysis, dashboard development, business intelligence, AI, machine learning, automation, or process improvement.
• Experience participating in school, volunteer, or work projects where data was used to support a recommendation, improve a process, or tell a clear business story.
• Experience with data visualization, storytelling, or presenting insights to non-technical audiences through class projects, case competitions, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Experience working in a team-based project environment, including gathering input, organizing work, meeting deadlines, and incorporating feedback. 

At Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is 48,750 - 58,500. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate’s skills and experience.
