Customer Experience Research Internship (Summer 2023)

Zurich North America is looking for a Customer Experience Research Intern to work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL for the summer of 2023. You will work with ZNA’s Customer Experience Research team to include applying customer insights and competitive intelligence to inform Zurich’s propositions; oversee the analysis and interpretation of data; conduct comprehensive research strategies that enhance the customer and distributor experiences; surface growth opportunities and present compelling insights that align the organization to effectively deliver on our customer strategy and become the insurer of choice. 

The intern will serve as an advocate for the customer, create a shared vision, inspire creativity, and create momentum around Zurich North America’s customer strategy, including:

  • Helps in the planning, conducting, and analysis of customer, distributor, or market-oriented research, insight, and analysis activities to determine potential customers and market for products/services
  • Enabling field teams through the development of new tools and insights to drive results
  • Streamlining reporting tools for our internal partners
  • Supporting analytical projects related to NPS
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand customer and distributor needs
  • Assist with digital and brand marketing projects (E.g., manage campaign management process/Kapost, monitor and report on digital marketing campaigns)
  • Takes action on customer insights to drive favorable customer experiences to better position Zurich as a carrier of choice

 

The successful candidate will possess strong customer research expertise and an understanding of feedback mechanisms based on a thorough understanding of the customer journey and the ability to capture and act upon customer feedback. The role relies heavily on building strong relationships to deliver optimal outcomes.  You will collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, developers, and various other stakeholders to identify what will be most critical to the success of the customer journey redesign. Articulate and design customer experiences based on current and future needs that have yet to be expressed. As well as actively engage and motivate colleagues during Zurich North America’s journey to become customer led. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2023
  • Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior) and no prior years of experience required in the Administrative area
  • Microsoft Office experience 
  • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school)
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical principles, methodologies and techniques
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Collaborative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing environment
