Direct Markets Account Executive - Seattle

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of sales experience

OR

• Completion of a Zurich-approved Apprenticeship program with an Associate Degree (no prior sales experience required).

• Ability to obtain insurance sales licenses where required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of business-to-business outside sales experience.

• Strong understanding of direct sales principles, closing techniques, and industry-specific terminology.

• Familiarity with insurance industry regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Current insurance sales licenses (where required) or the ability to be licensed.

• Experience with financial statement analysis.

 

Background:

Zurich Direct Markets specializes in offering Property and Casualty insurance and F&I products to the automotive industry, supported by a dedicated field sales team that regularly engages directly with clients. In this role, we’re seeking a top-performing individual with exceptional outside sales skills.

 

As an Account Executive, your responsibilities will include:

Prospecting:

Identifying and developing new business prospects, focusing on providing Property and Casualty insurance to large automotive dealers, while also supporting F&I product marketing within the assigned territory.

Attending Automotive industry events to promote Zurich’s sales and marketing initiatives.

Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders via various channels (in-person and virtual) to maintain solid relationships.

Closing:

Managing and growing your assigned territory to achieve profitability and exceed sales targets.

Direct Sales:

Conducting sales presentations either in-person or via Microsoft Teams.

Consulting:

Collaborating with field team members to ensure seamless implementation of programs and products, while strengthening customer relationships.

Building market share:

Working remotely in an entrepreneurial environment

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. 

 

This position includes a variable component that is based on an individual's performance under the applicable sales incentive plan. The annualized variable compensation range, based on performance under the sales incentive plan for this role, is between $180,000 and $240,000
