Life Operations Manager
Zurich North America is currently hiring a Life Operations Manager in our Kansas City market! This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic, dynamic, and collaborative Life Operations leader to drive operational excellence, efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Include:
- Direct day-to-day oversight of life operations to ensure prompt, accurate, and dependable service.
- Supervise assigned personnel, including selection, training, coaching and career development.
- Provide oversight of third‑party vendors and outsourced service providers supporting life operations to ensure service quality, operational efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor internal and vendor performance against agreed service levels, productivity standards, and quality metrics; address performance gaps through remediation actions and improvement plans.
- Ensure internal life operations team and third‑party activities comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, audit expectations, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in internal and external environments by developing and implementing short term and long-term operational goals.
- Oversite for technical enhancement and project management budget and delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Operations area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Operations area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Operations area
AND - People management experience

- Strong communication, negotiation and influence skills
- Strong problem solving and critical analysis skills
- Project management experience
- Customer service experience
- Insurance industry experience
- Technology Application experience
- PowerPoint proficient
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Salary range for this position is $132,500.00 - $217,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
