Team Manager, General Liability

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will lead and direct a team of technical Claims Professionals in complex primary high exposure auto and general liability claims and litigation involving bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and advertising injury. They will coordinate the work activities of the team, and have responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive employee development and operational improvements.

Basic Qualifications:  

• Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims area 
  OR 
• Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims area 
  OR 
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims
  AND 
• Customer service experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience collaborating across work groups
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
• Travel 0-20%

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Multinational General Liability Claims experience
• Experience with attritional and mid/high General Liability Claims experience
• Proven experience in analyzing coverage, liability, and damages for commercial casualty claim
• Experience in oversight in handling and managing bodily injury and property damage  litigated claims involving premises/operations, products/completed operations claims
• People management experience
• Ability to inspire and influence
• Knowledge and skill in claims handling
• Negotiation experience
• Experience in line of business
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical skills

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Salary range for this position is  $96,300.00 - $ 175,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
