Property & Engineering Lines Underwriter

Job purpose: 

Shape the future and play a key role in in our new Polish branch! If you enjoy making decisions, negotiating with business partners, and want to have a real impact on shaping the corporate insurance market – this opportunity is for you.  

Responsibilities: 

• Independently manage underwriting for mid-sized and large (corporate and industrial) clients  

• Conduct risk analysis, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and renew insurance contracts in line with local and group standards 

• Implement and manage insurance contracts for domestic and international business  

• Monitor market trends and emerging risks; adapt strategies to maintain competitiveness  

• Collaborate closely with Risk Engineering, Sales, Claims   

Candidate’s profile: 

• 5+ years of experience in Property and/or Engineering Lines underwriting within mid-sized or industrial corporate insurance  

• Proven track record in managing profitable portfolios and strategic initiatives  

• Deep understanding of Property and Engineering insurance markets, products, and regulations  

• University degree in Business, Finance, or related field; professional insurance qualifications preferred.  

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills  

• Proactive, independent, customer-focused, and collaborative mindset  

• Fluent in Polish and English (spoken and written); German language skills are an advantage
