This role plays a critical part in enabling Zurich Canada's technology modernization, transformation agenda, and commercial growth by ensuring the organization has access to the specialized capabilities needed to execute its strategy.

Reporting to the AVP, Talent Acquisition, you'll combine strategic recruitment, talent intelligence, strategic sourcing, and workforce planning to identify, attract, and advise on highly specialized talent across technology, enterprise transformation, AI, and commercial underwriting disciplines.

Zurich Canada uses artificial intelligence-enabled tools to support certain aspects of the recruitment process, including the initial review and screening of applications. Zurich follows a hybrid work model requiring three days per week of in-person presence, which may include time in the office or market-facing engagements.

What you will do:

  • Strategic Recruitment – Lead full-cycle recruitment across Technology, Transformation, AI, Digital, and Commercial Underwriting.
  • Talent Intelligence – Develop labour market intelligence, talent maps, competitor insights, compensation trends, and emerging skills analysis.
  • Strategic Sourcing – Build proactive sourcing strategies, talent communities, and leverage AI-enabled recruiting tools.
  • Workforce & Capability Planning – Advise leaders on build, buy, borrow, and develop talent strategies using workforce insights and labour market intelligence.
  • Business Partnership – Partner with senior leaders to align hiring strategies with business priorities.
  • Continuous Improvement – Drive innovation across recruiting processes, sourcing, candidate experience, and talent technology.

What you bring to the table:

Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in executive, technical, or strategic talent acquisition.
  • Bilingual (English & French).
  • Demonstrated success recruiting specialized technology, transformation, AI, digital, or technical insurance talent.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing, talent mapping, and labour market intelligence.
  • Experience recruiting Guidewire, software engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, architecture, AI, data, and transformation roles.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management.
  • Experience translating market intelligence into business insights.
  • Experience using AI-enabled recruiting technologies.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting Technology, Transformation, and Commercial business leaders.
  • Executive dashboard and talent intelligence reporting experience.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement. 

 

At Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate's skills and experience.
